Ok, cuando uno piensa que Hong Kong ya lo acabó de impresionar, termina uno caminando por SOHO (South Hollywood) y de repente ahí están, imponentes, diciéndome ven y úsame, algo que uno no ve en una ciudad, el Sistema Público de Escaleras Eléctricas que van de Central a los Mid-Levels (entiéndase Medio Cerro). Así es, el sistema público exterior de escaleras eléctricas más grande del mundo. Según Wikipedia, sube 135 metros y tiene un trayecto de 800 m. No se si 800 peor me tardé 25 minutos en subir TOODO, imagínense a pata, la subida al pípila se queda corta no creen?
Consiste en 20 escaleras eléctricas y 3 como túneles o puentes. Es algo impactante, aquí hay algunas fotos. En el inter encuentras bares, mezquitas, escuelas, lugares históricos, calles y un chorro de edificios y depas, a la mitad, hay un súper para los que viven ahí, es el lugar “inn” para vivir no creen?? Además es donde los depas son más caros porque TODOS tienen una vista espectacular (aunque estén en el primer piso, eso ya los pone a 80 metros sobre el nivel del mar, jaja) Ahhhhh pero si van, cuidado con el “rush hour” ya que de 6 am a 10 am, las escaleras van para abajo, y de 10.30 am hasta media noche para arriba, así que si te vas de jarra y vives arriba, mejor agarrar un taxi o esperar hasta las 10.30 del siguiente día, dudo que alguien con alcohol encima pueda subir caminando casi 1 KM de escaleras, jaja Para más información échense un brinco en el sitio de Wiki:

Ok, when you think Hong Kong has already showed you everything it can show you, you can finish your trip walking by SOHO (South Hollywood) and suddenly, something calls your attention, there they are; the Central-Mid-levels escalators, the longest outdoor covered escalator system in the world. The whole system is half mile long, and the vertical climb is 400 feet. Believe me, I walked them and the total travel time was twenty minutes.
It consists of twenty escalators and three moving sidewalks, in the middle you can finde bars, schools, mosques, streets and a lot of apartment and condo buildings, ah and a grocery store in the middle to buy your stuff, ha ha. It is the “inn” place to live, ans the apartments are so expensive, just imagine the view even from the first flor, at 240 ft over the sea level. You must take care of the rush hour, ha ha the escalator daily runs downhill from 6:00am to 10:00am and uphill from 10:30am to midnight. More info thanks to Wiki:
